Eat W/Reez: 7-eleven Hot Dog's

Friday July 2, 2010

Ever have a late night at the office? I do. All the time. And sometimes I get that craving for some good old 7-eleven hot dogs. You know, the 2 for $2 deal.

Come back in time with me for a minute. I was in middle school in Agoura Hills, CA. The designated pick up spot after school was at the 7-eleven. The pre teen years are very formative. I picked up all kinds of habits in those days that stick with me today. One of those habits was eating hot dogs at 7-eleven. You follow me?

Ok, back to present time. This is how you do it. Roll into the 7-eleven. Yell some random shit as you walk in the door. Something like “Y’all know the Reez (substitute your name here) is in the building.” Now that you have everyone’s attention, head directly to the dogs. On the walk over, point at the guy behind the counter. Use the peace sign reversed. This indicates you want two. Once you both arrive at the hot dogs, let him know you are serious by pointing out the exact dogs you want.

If he goes to pick up the wrong one, shoot him the death stare and slowly shake your head in disgust, never breaking eye contact, all while you point your finger at the best looking dog on the hot roller things that cook the hot dogs. After this, put a thin layer of ketchup on top of the dog. Then move to the chili sauce, powder, paste…

Whatever it is, it tastes good. After that, box ‘em up. Walk softly to the counter, as if no one can see you, take three wrinkled one dollar bills out of your pocket, lay ‘em on the counter and vamoose son of a bitch.
Once back at your destination, unbox and Get Your Glutt On!

Before you start hating on the quality of these dogs, just hold up real quick. Sometimes, it’s just about getting Glutt!

  1. That’s OG. I just got back from the gym and this latest post isn’t helping the cause. What about the nachos?! Or Monster flavored Slurpeez?!

  2. Slurpeez are good too. Coke x Cherry is the best. I don’t get into to the nachos.

  4. My favorite 7-eleven treat to Glut out on has to be flaming hot Cheetos with the free chili and cheese poured right into the bag.

  6. Brings me down memory lane. My dad worked at 7-11 when I was little. Every Saturday, I’d get a “Compliments of 7-11” cup and fill it to the brim with Slurpee. Very VIP. Hot Dogs, Slurpees, it’s all near and dear to my heart. Thanks…
